Kay King | Principal
Miss Kay holds a Montessori Diploma and joined Young England Kindergarten in 1973.
After working as a teacher at the school for six years, Miss Kay then became a joint Principal for twelve years and took over the running of the school in 1989. Miss Kay believes passionately in supporting children and parents through this exciting chapter of their lives.
Lucinda Byron Evans | Head Teacher (Manager)
Miss Lucinda began her teaching career doing work experience at Young England Kindergarten in 2000.
She then continued her training and gained a degree in Early Childhood studies, followed by a PGCE in Primary Education specialising in Early Years. Miss Lucinda obtained her QTS in June 2008 whilst teaching a reception class at Eaton House, The Manor School. Miss Lucinda re-joined Young England in 2009 and became Head Teacher in September 2011.
Lucy Oldman | Deputy Head Teacher
Miss Lucy started at Young England in September 2018 as Deputy Head Teacher.
Miss Lucy is a Group Teacher in the morning session. She gained a PGCE in Early Years from Goldsmiths University in 2012 and has been an Early Years Teacher since then. She holds a BA Hons degree in Drama from the University of the West of England.
Isabella af Petersens | Asst. Deputy Head Teacher
Miss Issy is a Montessori trained nursery teacher with a BA Hons degree in History.
She has worked at two other nurseries prior to starting at Young England in September 2013. She teaches both the morning and club sessions.
Henry King | School Business Manager
Mr Henry holds a BA Hons degree in Geography and previously worked as a project manager for a firm that specialised in developing renewable energy projects.
He joined Young England in 2013 as School Business Manager and works across admissions, HR, marketing and accounts.
C-J Strudwick | Group Teacher
Miss C-J is a Montessori trained nursery teacher with extensive experience in nursery school teaching and childcare.
She has worked as a nursery teacher with Young England since September 1991 and teaches in the morning and afternoon sessions. Miss C-J obtained a First Aid at Work qualification in March 2002 and is our designated First Aid official.
Esha Dhokia | Group Teacher & SENDCO
Miss Esha holds a PGCE in Early Years Teacher Training and a BA degree in Social Anthropology.
Prior to joining Young England in April 2019, Miss Esha spent six years teaching in two nursery schools. Miss Esha is a Group Teacher for the morning and afternoon sessions and our SENDCO (accredited).
Polly Hewlett | Group Teacher & Deputy SENDCO
Miss Polly joined Young England in January 2020 as a Group Teacher.
Miss Polly is Montessori trained and first worked at Young England in 2011. She was a group teacher for 6 years with us before moving to Barcelona to teach English. Since returning to YEK she has taken on the deputy SENDCO role, along with being a group teacher in both morning and afternoon sessions.
Savannah Speke | Group Teacher
Miss Savannah joined the team in September 2020 as a Group Teacher.
Miss Savannah previously worked as a volunteer with Young England for one year whilst studying for her Cache Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education. She obtained her qualification in June '20 and has worked at one other setting prior to us.
Agne Geniene | Teaching Assistant
Miss Agne started at Young England in September 2019 as a Nursery Assistant.
Miss Agne has a passion for working with the Early Years age group.
Mr Joe is part of 'Little Kickers' and comes into the kindergarten once every week for the hugely popular sports and fitness session.
The sessions use football as a fun forum to instil our growing squad with a little extra confidence, co-ordination, control and sense of camaraderie.
Miss Pippa runs our wonderful Pippa’s Poppet’s music classes which take place throughout the week. The classes introduce children to the joy of music with specially written, original songs by West End composer, Pippa Cleary.
Miss Josefina from Nanos Spanish teaches Spanish in our morning session. A well structured Spanish course for toddlers and pre school children, perfect to start learning a new language!
Anna-Louise from Boo Theatre & Entertainment provides an array of fun, engaging classes in Drama and Performing Arts.
Octavia from The Inside Out Dance Company teaches a specially designed syllabus of dance to improve the mental and physical wellbeing of children.
Coach Matt from Playball introduces children to constructive and enjoyable sport participation through various age-appropriate programmes. All of the programmes have a "multi-activity" approach, ensuring a competent foundation in all the popular sports played at school.
Tanja from the Chelsea Ballet School teaches pre-school dance lessons in the morning session.
Stephanie from the Chelsea Ballet School teaches our dancing classes and accompanies Miss Tanja on the piano.
Francis from Studio Cultivate teaches the children to explore the wondrous natural processes that create and sustain the world in which we live.
